Basic car maintenance tips

I tried to learn the basic of maintaining a car and I know it is not easy to do everything, but knowing just the basics won’t hurt anyway.

Every week, we need to check the tires for damage.

It is a classic practice to use a penny to check the tire tread.

By inserting a penny in the tire grooves (with Lincoln’s head facing the tread) – if you observe that the top of Lincoln’s head is showing, then the tread needs to be replaced.

To better understand what is going on, please do watch this video.

I’m glad to have my car fixed and back in good condition. Still need to put more money into it but for now she’s all I got lol. Guess, you never really know what you got till it’s gone.

Being highly effective everday

Hello again everyone. Thank God it is Friday!

I’ve been surfing the net to look for a book to feature and this is what I discovered in the library of my consciousness.

There will be more books to feature of course in the coming weeks, but just in case you have not heard or read about this one yet, then it will be for your good to check ” The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.

By the way, I was just trying to humor you guys with the picture in the right. See, it isn’t really about making money all the time. If you read my previous post about success, you would learn a little something like the line ” To leave the world a bit better”.

Now, let us browse through the main ideas in the book then. Let us talk about the first three habits which focuses on self-mastery.

Habit 1: Be Proactive

Of course we know that this is the exact opposite of being reactive which we often find ourselves doing. You know when we complain?

Being proactive is having determinism to be in control all the time. Having the freedom to choose what you want to become. Influencing people for the better rather than being influenced negatively.

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

You just need to focus on your goals.

Habit 3: Put First Things First

This one is actually self explanatory.

Habit 4: Think Win/Win

This is about your relationship with others or simply with an employee. You can reward them with win/win situation where both of you will benefit. Remember to look for relationships that would be mutually beneficial.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood

Put yourself in their shoes. That’s it.

Habit 6: Synergize

Two heads are better than one.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
This is preserving and enhancing your greatest assets which is none other than you.

Make every moment counts . Have a great weekend everyone.
