How did we spend our 16:8 today?

Today is the last weekend before Christmas, like any parent we want our kid to have at least something new this coming Christmas.

We went shopping for Gab’s “pamasko” , by the way, that’s a Filipino way to refer to what someone is going to wear for on Christmas day.

So there is what we’ve got for Gab.  He was so fascinated with his new shoes, he went to sleep with those shoes on, funny but true.

After shopping, we headed to watch a local basketball game.  Do or die between B-Meg and Powerade teams.

An inspiring Christmas story….brought to you by Sixteen 8 Clothing Co.

Team Sixteen 8 hopes to send Christmas joy and spirit through this very inspiring story…..Read on……………..

Once upon a time, a man punished his five-year-old daughter for using up the family’s only roll of expensive gold wrapping paper before Christmas.

Money was tight, so he became even more upset when on Christmas Eve, he saw that the child had used the expensive gold paper to decorate a large shoebox she had put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the next morning the little girl, filled with excitement, brought the gift box to her father and said, “This is for you, Daddy!”

As he opened the box, the father was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, now regretting how he had punished her.

But when he opened the shoebox, he found it was empty and again his anger flared. “Don’t you know, young lady,” he said harshly, “when you give someone a present there’s supposed to be something inside the package!”

The little girl looked up at him with sad tears rolling from her eyes and whispered: “Daddy, it’s not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was all full.”

The father was crushed. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his precious little girl. He begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later. It is told that the father kept this little gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. Whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems, he would open the box, take out an imaginary kiss, and remember the love of this beautiful child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us as human beings have been given an invisible golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God.

There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

T-shirt History

At the very start, Team 16:8 would like to introduce cool fashion with meaning by expressing it through the designs of our shirts.  It is human nature to feel the need to know  what we want and we can only express it by completely understanding  what we have.  Is there anyone here reading this story that does not have a t-shirt?  Yes, a t-shirt!  Of course, all of us would have one. But do we know exactly how t-shirts became  t-shirt.

16:8 cares to tell a story, the history of  t- shirts.   With the help of surfing the entire web, I found a very interesting story how t-shirt evolved.  If you are interested, you may visit this link here.

Having an understanding of how t-shirt began, Team 16:8 would like to highlight how people from all walks of life would like to have their t-shirt.  An interesting forum about what kind of t-shirt people would like is found on this link.

We are inviting everyone to see what’s in store with Team Sixteen 8, visit and like our link in facebook,  click here, and like it.  Be one of us, let us all shout to the world how we would love to manage our time efficiently and express it though meaningful shirt designs.  See how I manage my time here.

How you spend your time with loved ones

No matter how busy we are, at the end of the end, we must ensure we were able to spend ample time with our loved ones. Let us not take forgranted someone close to us. It is important that we spend quality time with each and everyone even the smallest way we can.

Picture above was last Sunday, my son Gab and my Uncle Molly plays some game on the tablet together. The one below was after we let Gab play his favorite slot machine game at the mall. Spending quality time with loved ones does not mean speding to much financially. What is important is everyone enjoy each quality time.
